Network On Security And Peace For Women In the ECOWAS Region
- Conduire des programmes de prévention et de maintien de la sécurité et de la paix en Afrique de l’Ouest ;
- Conduire des programmes de prévention et de lutte contre les violences, l’exploitation sexuelle et les abus contre la femme ;
- Promouvoir et protéger les droits des femmes ; Renforcer leurs capacités dans le leadership et le lobbying ;
- Promouvoir les résolutions 1325 et 1820 en Afrique de l’Ouest, appuyer les Etats dans la mise en oeuvre des principes d’équité et d’égalité entre les sexes ;
- Faire la promotion de l’intégration africaine en Afrique de l’Ouest.
Mrs. Salimata PORQUET
Salimata Porquet’s has a professional background in education but invested herself greatly in economic sector before embracing a political career. She was a member of the Economic and Social Council, deputy mayor in Ivory Coast and a member of the Africa Women Ministers and Parliamentarian Network.She is involved in various organisations through her positions as President of the Organisation of Eburnean Women for Peace (OFEP) and President of the International Women’s Forum for Peace, Equality and Development.
Additionally, since July 2009, she has been President of the Women Network for Peace and Security in West Africa (REPSFECO). She is also a member of the Accreditation Committee of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council of the African Union (ECOSOCC).
